The Itinerary
Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora
We cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka and visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
After lunch, we drive through Agdz and the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley lined with millions of palms, arriving in Zagora for the night.
Zagora – Off-Road – Erg Chigaga
We visit the pottery workshops in Tamgroute before reaching M'hamid, where the road ends.
The 4x4 goes off-road for 60km into the deep desert. We reach the massive dunes of Erg Chigaga for a sunset camel ride and a night in a wild desert camp.
Lake Iriqui – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
We drive across the dried salt flat of Lake Iriqui via the old Paris-Dakar rally route.
We stop in Taznakht, famous for Berber carpets, then continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech
We visit the Atlas Film Studios before taking the scenic Ounila Valley road.
